Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University (GGSIPU) is the first University established in 1998 by Govt. of NCT of Delhi under
the section 12B of UGC Act. The
university put a focus on professional education in various disciplines of
engineering, technology, education, law, medicine, pharmacy, nursing, etc. The
University located in Delhi has 100
affiliated institutes; out of these, 76 are self-financed
whereas 24 are owned and managed by the Govt. of NCT of Delhi or Govt. of
